Monitoring Program

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the MultiLit Monitoring Program to anyone who is willing to do the work required at home. It has definitely made a difference for Thomas.

– A Parent

In this program, the parent or caregiver is trained to deliver the MultiLit Reading Tutor program at home supported by a weekly monitoring consultation with a MultiLit tutor.

On at least four days per week for 30 minutes per day, the parent carries out the instruction at home with the student. Once a week, the parent and the student attend a half-hour session where their progress is reviewed, program adjustments are made and the parent can seek any clarification needed.

Monitoring sessions are available during or after school hours Monday through Saturday at the MultiLit Literacy Centre or online. Before the student commences this program, the parent must attend a MultiLit Parent Training session.

Please note: Only parents or caregivers may deliver the program.

**In addition to the program and parent training cost, a refundable deposit of $450 for resources loaned must be paid prior to the commencement of the Monitoring Program. This deposit will be refunded once all the borrowed resources have been returned in reusable condition at the end of enrolment.

Parent Training for Monitoring Program

Before the student commences the Monitoring Program, a training session must be attended by one or both parents or caregivers to learn how to deliver the program at home. Materials to deliver the program are provided on loan for the term.

An online training module will be provided.
